THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The student leaders who would lead the Children’s Day rally and conference on November 14 have been selected. Students were selected from the ‘Varnavismayam-2011’, where competitions in oratory skills were conducted for LP and UP sections by the State Council for Children’s Welfare. Gouri Krishnadas, student of Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidyamandir, has been selected as the student prime minister. Nissie John, a class seven student of Akkulam Mar Gregorios Memorial Central Public school, has been chosen as the student president. Ardra A R, student of Tiruvallom Christ Nagar Senior Secondary School, would be the student speaker. Vedavyas Manu, student of Neeramankara Mannam Memorial Residential school and Jithya G Ansalam, student of Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School, have been selected for welcome and thanksgiving speeches. It is a screening panel comprising C P Aravindakshan and Prof Olina and judging committee comprising Kallara Ajayan, Sasi Mavinmoodu and Thirumala Sivankutty that selected the student leaders.
