New Delhi: When Karan Johar says in his interviews that ‘Student of the Year’ is a big responsibility, he actually means it. The grandeur and the canvas with which the film has been made is a clear indication of what is going inside Johar’s mind.

It seems Karan is once again ready to set a new benchmark of glossiness. If you would have asked any Indian spectator before 1998 about their dream school, they would have named the school that was featured in ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ (1992). In the year 1998, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ redefined the genre and the definition of classy and high-class schools.

The playground where Kajol and Shah Rukh played basketball in their designer clothes became the dream ground of middle class youngsters.

The first trailer of ‘Student of the Year’ gave the viewers ample hint about what to expect from KJo’s next. Such enormous auditorium, glamorous gym and other dream facilities were shown in a subjective way. Then came the ‘Disco deewane’ song promo, which showcased the objects of desire in a more personal way.

The advertisement of youth and glamour is likely to get hold of the middle class’ fantasy. Probably, India’s best schools don’t have such facilities as this school has, so be ready to live your dream once again with Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’.
