Suspected LeT men held in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Two suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists were arrested in Ahmedabad and several documents have been seized from them, police said.

"The two suspected terrorists of the LeT belong to a sleeper cell operating in the city. Several incriminating documents in Urdu and a letter pad of the outfit has been seized", a senior official of the crime branch told PTI.

Acting on intelligence reports, police raided a guest house in Kalupur area in the old city, leading to the arrests, he said.

The two arrested persons have been identified as Ilyas and Khalid.

"As per our information, Ilyas is a local of Ahmedabad, while Khalid is from Kashmir. However they are not revealing any information at this stage", the crime branch offical said.

The state has been on an alert following bomb blasts in Mumbai and Malegaon with heightened security at all public places.
