HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress leaders K Jana Reddy and K Keshava Rao have been summoned to New Delhi on Monday for consultations with the high command to bring an end to the resignation drama by Telangana legislators.Ghulam Nabi Azad, the Congress point man for Andhra Pradesh, telephoned the two leaders Sunday evening to tell them to bring the Telangana flock to Delhi on the morrow. A delegation of ministers, MPs and MLAs will probably be cobbled together to go to the national capital after the T flock meets among themselves in Hyderabad earlier on Monday.The development comes a day after chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy met Telangana Congress leaders to arrive at a face-saving formula to enable T ministers to get back to work. The high command is said to have lined up a ‘positive’ statement on Telangana to enable Congress leaders from the region to proclaim success of their resignation maneouvre.A delegation of Seemandhra Congress leaders too left for the capital on Sunday to lobby the high command against giving an inch to their Telangana counterparts. They will assemble at the residence of MP Kavoori Sambasiva Rao and hope for appointments with several important leaders to fructify.Among those sought to be met are the PM, Pranab Mukherjee and Ghulam Nabi Azad.Among the sops expected to be offered to the Telangana legislators are a definite promise to begin wide-ranging consultations with stakeholders to the Telangana dispute and a concession to delete clause 14(f) of the Presidential Order.
