Telugu film 'Marina' deals with sensitive issues
The film chronicles the lives of children on the shores and raises a voice for the need to educate them.

In 'Marina', the famous Marina beach not only forms a backdrop but also seems like a character. Directed by Pandi Raj, the film is the dubbed version of the a Tamil film of the same title. Shobha Rani is bringing the film to Telugu audience.

Though the story revolves around the lives of two children, a small-time vendors who make their livelihood by selling peanuts on the Marina beachside, there is a love story forming the undercurrent. The movie sensitively chronicles the lives of children on the shores and raises a voice for the need to educate them. The film's audio was recently released by K Atchi Reddy.

Producer Shoba Rani says, "The film was originally released in Tamil with 50 prints in first week, and it went on to add another 128 screens in the next week. The film stars all newcomers. All the songs have come out very well. Vennelakanti, Bhagya Sri, Rakhi have written the songs very naturally. All the songs have been crooned by those singers who have sung in the original."

Small screen star Siva Karthikeyan, 'Kalavani' fame Oviya, Pakada Pandi of 'Pasanga' plaYS crucial roles in 'Marina', which had cameos by Vikram, Prakash Raj, Sasikumar, Ameer and Sneha. It will hit the screens on September 14, 2012.
