The bodies of four terrorists gunned down by security forces during the attack on the Pathankot Indian Air Force base were buried by Punjab Police at 2 am on May 4 at a Muslim burial ground.
Top government sources say the burial took place after a wait of four months. They added that it was unfortunate that Pakistan didn't claim the bodies despite filing an FIR in its own country.
Even the Pakistani Joint Investigation Team didn't bother to see the bodies of the terrorists during its visit to the Pathankot IAF base.
The place of burial is near to the place where the bodies of three terrorists involved in July 2015 Dinanagar Police Station attack were buried.
The Pathankot IAF facility, located near the border with Pakistan, is the base of MiG-21 fighter planes and MI-25 attack helicopters.
The Pakistani terrorists had stormed the base on January 2, 2016 and engaged the forces in a fierce gunbattle which lasted for more than two days.
