CHENNAI: A Thanksgiving Service will be organised by the Madras Christian College on January 7 to mark the beginning of the College’s 175th year.  The service will be conducted by Rev Robert Willis, Dean of Canterbury Cathedral, UK, while the Rev Canon Ivor Smith-Cameron, former Chaplain to the Queen, UK, will declare open the exhibition on the ‘History and Heritage of MCC’. Dr Geeta Menon, Dean, Stern School of Business, New York University and distinguished alumnus of MCC will deliver a lecture on – Business: Past, Present and Future under the distinguished Speakers’ Lecture Series ‘World Class Business Education Programme’ - at Madras Christian College. The theme assigned for the 175th year festivities could not have been more apt: Celebrating History, Serving Humanity, as MCC can lay claim to both with equal ease. The College has plans to mark this significant year by releasing a commemorative stamp as was done during the 150th year celebrations in 1987. It also has plans to release an exclusive MCC souvenir, and enhance the College website (www.mcc.edu.in) which it intends to  update with the complete alumni information. A special logo and emblem to mark the 175th year, work on which has already started, will be released.
