KOCHI: There is a hue of Calcutta, Chanderi, Mumbai and Bangalore, all of this showcased in a 500 sqft room in BTH, Durbar Hall Road. Aaina’s second edition of silk exhibition is here to add the extra touch of glam and authenticity to your wardrobe this summer. Contrary to the tag, there is much more on offer than just silks. Cotton salwars from Mumbai and soft silks from Hasthakshar, Calcutta are a major highlight for this summer heat and sweat. The Katha work dupatta with heavy handwork is a vibrant buy for evening parties. Ranging from Rs 1500 to 3000, these dupattas are colourful and easy to drape. The collection of tussar silk sarees hailing from Bangalore is the most in demand item, make sure to check for varali prints in them. The plain black tussar saree with generous inches of gold border, giving it a brocade touch is a must buy for those who have enough to spare this month end.Apart from salwars and sarees, a range of leather bags are displayed in shades of brown and black on the right side, and a collection of wrought iron curious, candle stands, hangers for affordable prices are placed on the other end ranging from Rs 300 to 1000.
