New Delhi: It has been three years since the 2008 Delhi serial blasts in which 26 people died and the security in the city on Tuesday is at an all time high, especially after threatening e-mails were received.
20,000 police personnel have been deployed in various sensitive spots across the capital. Paramilitary forces will also be stationed in some areas. There is going to be a special focus on crowded markets and shopping malls.
Quick reaction teams and SWAT vehicles have also been stationed at various locations.
The police will be taking the help of civil defence personnel to secure market places.
Traffic police personnel will be checking bus stops and buses for suspicious objects.
