BHUBANESWAR: Odisha cricket plumbed new depths on Thursday when skipper Haladhar Das was dropped from the team and sent home for allegedly taking alcohol the previous night and violating the code of conduct.‘’Haladhar was caught red-handed and sent home on disciplinary ground,’’ said OCA secretary Asirbad Behera.‘’In order to maintain discipline we had set three important conditions in the code of conduct - that no member of the team would be allowed to take alcohol, all the members would have dinner together and all of them would surrender their mobile telephone during a match. But Haladhar made a mockery of the code of conduct,’’ added Behera.Efforts to contact the sacked skipper proved futile as all his mobile numbers were switched off.
