VELLORE: The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary School Vocational Teachers’ kazhagam has hailed the announcements made in the state budget regarding free distribution of notebooks to students of classes 1 to 12. In a statement, State General Secretary of the kazhagam S N Janardhanan hailed the decision of the State Government to enhance the housing loans from the existing Rs 15 lakh to Rs 25 lakh for government employees and teachers while filling up vacant posts in all the government departments. While the teachers cheered the State’s announcement, the kazhagam appealed to the state to increase the pay for vocational teachers on par with the PG teachers.
