THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After a brief respite, SFI and KSU activists clashed at the Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthi, near here on Monday. Two policemen and a few students were injured in the clash. RajKumar, SI, Kazhakootam police station, and constable Raghukumar were injured in the stone pelting which followed the clash. Rajkumar and Raghukumar sustained injuries on their chest and hands.The clash in the college on Monday was a sequel to a scuffle which occurred in the college on Thursday. When the fight became uncontrollable, the college authorities called in the police. Students resorted to stone-pelting as the police personnel entered the campus resulting in injuries to two policemen.The college had been lying closed following the clashes on Thursday. The SFI activists alleged that the college authorities were trying to protect two expelled KSU activists and that the clash occurred when SFI questioned the frequent entry of expelled students into the campus.KSU refuted the SFI allegations and said that the SFI had been trying to exert their dominance on the campus.Police have registered a case against the SFI students.
