Uninterrupted power for immersion: CPDCL

HYDERABAD: The Central Power Distribution Company has made arrangements for uninterrupted power supply for Ganesh idol immersion on September 11 in immersion locations at Hussainsagar, Miralam tank, Hashmathpet lake, Alwal lake, Dugam Cheruvu, Saroornagar lake and Rajanna Bowli.The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has also arranged for 2,000 GHMC workers and 100 garbage lifting and sweeping machines at the NTR Marg and Tank Bund on immersion day.Apart from the two places, a few hundred workers and sweepers would be put on duty from MJ Market to Liberty Circle, Karbala Maidan to RP Road, Afzalgunj to MJ Market and Charminar to Afzalgunj routes. APCDPCL managing director G Anantha Ramu inaugurated special control rooms on Hussainsagar, Tank Bund and at Indira Park on Thursday. Mobile transformers have been arranged across the immersion route to provide uninterrupted power supply along with 500 KVA DTRs at Miralam tank, Saroornagar tank and Rajanna Bowli.Temporary supply points for floodlights have been setup at various locations around Hussainsagar, Hashmathpet lake and Durgam Cheruvu
