CHENNAI: The 32nd annual South Indian History Conference will be hosted by the Department of Indian History, University of Madras from February 3 to 5. Over 800 delegates from all over the country will present about 500 papers on political, social, economic and cultural history apart from historiography and maritime history, said G Venkatraman, professor and head of the department of Indian History, University of Madras. Dr VS Chandrababu will preside as the general president of the conference.
