120 Bahadur: Farhan Akhtar Shares Exciting BTS Photo From Ladakh, 'Crew at Work' Raises Anticipation; See Here
Farhan Akhtar excited fans with a behind-the-scenes photo from the 120 Bahadur shoot in Ladakh. The picture captures his ‘crew at work,’ giving a glimpse into the film's production.

Farhan Akhtar, renowned for his versatile roles as an actor, director, writer, and producer, is making a much-anticipated return to the big screen after a three-year hiatus. He will be stepping into the role of Major Shaitan Singh in the upcoming military drama 120 Bahadur. Recently, Akhtar shared an exciting behind-the-scenes glimpse from the film’s set, heightening fan anticipation for his return.

On Saturday, Akhtar posted a photo on Instagram from Ladakh, capturing his crew in action as they set up for a shoot against the stunning backdrop of the region’s rugged landscape. The post, simply captioned “Crew at work,” with hashtags like #bts, #120Bahadur, and #Ladakh, offered fans a sneak peek into the film’s production process.

Earlier, Akhtar had announced 120 Bahadur with a motion poster on Instagram, featuring the powerful line, “Vo teen the… Aur hum? 120 Bahadur.” Directed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai, the film marks Akhtar’s first acting role since Toofaan in 2021.

In his caption, Akhtar expressed his deep honor in portraying the story of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC, and the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment. The film revolves around the heroic Battle of Rezang La, fought during the Indo-China War on November 18, 1962. Akhtar also acknowledged the invaluable support of the Indian Army and emphasized his commitment to portraying the bravery of these soldiers with the utmost respect.

On the professional front, Akhtar is also gearing up for Don 3, which he’s directing. The film will feature Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani in the lead roles.

Fans believed Shah Rukh, who played the titular role in Don and Don 2, would have been a better fit. Farhan, in a chat with Faye D’Souza explained that while writing Don 3, he did consider Shah Rukh, but ultimately, things didn’t come together.

Farhan said, “When I first started thinking about doing a Don 3, I mean, obviously, I thought of writing something with Shah Rukh in it, but somehow we just couldn’t find the right place to be able to take the story to. We couldn’t find common ground on it – so that didn’t happen. So I was like, let me just kind of rethink what I want to do with the film and kind of go back. Kind of go a little bit more into like a ‘what made Don, Don’ kind of story, and that’s when I started writing that. Then, that took on a life of its own, and that obviously needed for there to be a younger actor. Ranveer (Singh) just felt like absolutely the right guy to go to for it.”
