Aamir Khan promoted his ex-wife Kiran Rao’s film, Laapataa Ladies, in his recent Instagram live video while enjoying a pipe. Aamir, who is not on social media, went live from his production house’s Instagram page and answered questions from fans and critics alike.
During the live, someone asked Aamir Khan why he danced at Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar last weekend but not at his own daughter Ira Khan’s wedding. Aamir clarified that he did dance at Ira’s wedding too and said that he also danced at Mukesh’s son’s wedding because Mukesh is his very close friend. “Dance toh maine apni beti ki shaadi mein bhi kiya aur Mukesh ke bete ki shaadi mein bhi kiya kyuki Mukesh mere bahut hee kareeb dost hain. Nita, Mukesh and their kids are like family for me. Main bhi unki shaadi mein nachta hu, woh bhi meri shadi mein naachte hain (I danced at both my daughter’s wedding and Mukesh’s son’s wedding because Mukesh is a very close friend of mine. Nita, Mukesh and their kids are like family to me. I dance at their weddings, and they dance at mine too),” the actor said.
On being asked to make movies like Pathaan, Aamir said, “Yaar Shah Rukh (Khan) bana raha haina achhi Pathaan jaisi. Main banata hu Laapataa Ladies, aap woh dekho (Shah Rukh is already making movies like Pathaan. I make movies like Laapataa Ladies, you watch that).”
Last week, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan brought the house down at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding sangeet by dancing on Naatu Naatu. The three Khans took the centre stage to recreate the magic of the Oscar winning song for the special night on stage and what a sight it was! SRK, Salman and Aamir were seen acing the hook step of the RRR song and in the process, having a ball.
