Abhishek Kumar Feels 'Helpless' After Reasi Terror Attack, Says 'Our World Lacks Humanity'

Television actor Abhishek Kumar has condemned the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district. The attack, which targeted a bus carrying pilgrims to the Shiv Khori temple, left ten dead and several others injured earlier this week. On Wednesday, Abhishek took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to speak against the violence as he also urged for global peace.

“It’s so sad to be living in a world where terrorist attacks are on the rise, people are dying, and watch it all happen helplessly. The human race has come so forward with everything – science, technology, cinema and so many other things- but our world still lacks Humanity,” the Bigg Boss 17 runner-up wrote and then added, “We will not learn how to live together by killing each other’s children.”

The tragic incident occurred on Sunday (June 9) when terrorists ambushed a bus traveling from the Shiv Khori shrine to Katra in the Pouni area, causing it to plunge into a gorge. This brutal act claimed the lives of at least ten people and injured over 30 others.

Abhishek Kumar is not the first television actor to condemn the attack. Previously, several others including Kapil Sharma, Hina Khan, Rupali Ganguly and Ali Goni among others also expressed concern and paid tributes to those who lost their lives.

Aly Goni also called the incident “heartbreaking”, whereas Abhishek Shukla posted on X, “This happened in our country to our fellow countrymen…Where are your eyes? #AllEyesOnResai.”

Gurmeet Choudhary also wrote, “Heartbroken by the tragic terrorist attack in Jammu yesterday. My deepest condolences to the families of the victims, especially the women and children who have suffered such a devastating loss. This senseless act of violence must be condemned by all. #Jammu #StandAgainstTerrorism #reasi.”
