Akshay Kumar Drops First Look Of His Next Horror Comedy ‘Bhooth Bangla’ On His Birthday; Fans React

Akshay Kumar is celebrating his birthday today and on this special day, he has given a surprise to his fans. Akshay shared the first look of his next horror comedy titled Bhooth Bangla. The motion poster has gone viral and fans are reacting to it. The other details of the film have been kept under wrap.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Akshay Kumar shared the poster and wrote, “Thank you for your love on my birthday, year after year! Celebrating this year with the first look of ‘Bhooth Bangla’! I’m beyond excited to join forces with Priyadarshan again after 14 years. This dream collaboration has been a long time coming… can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you all. Stay tuned for the magic!” The look features Akshay Kumar drinking milk while a black cat is sitting on his shoulder.

On Saturday, Akshay Kumar posted a video on Instagram hinting at a film announcement on his 57th birthday. He wrote, “Ganpati Bappa Morya! What could be better than a day like today to hint at something special coming your way. The reveal is set for my birthday. Stay tuned (sic)!” Reports suggest that Akshay is working with filmmaker Priyadarshan on a horror-comedy, and this is what will be announced on September 9. The two are reuniting 14 years after their last film, Khatta Meetha.

Not much is known about the new horror-comedy yet, but it’s expected to involve black magic, with Akshay working with three heroines. A report in Mid-Day suggested that a motion poster for the film might be released on Akshay’s birthday. The film is set to start shooting by the end of this year and continue into the first half of 2025.

Most of the film will be shot in Hyderabad, a forest in Kerala, Sri Lanka, and finish in Gujarat next year, according to India Today. There are rumours that Kiara Advani, Keerthy Suresh, and Alia Bhatt might be in the film.

Not long back, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Priyadarshan said that he is starting work on a horror fantasy film with Akshay Kumar, produced by Ekta Kapoor, blending elements of humour into the narrative. He had shared, “Now that I am done with my docu-series on the Ram Mandir’s history, my most important film on which I am beginning work is the one with Akshay, produced by Ekta Kapoor. It is a horror fantasy with humour.”
