Akshay Kumar's Flop Streak Will End Soon Says Mudassar Aziz: 'Happened With Shah Rukh Khan For 7 Years...'
The Khel Khel Mein director said that Akshay Kumar tries to proove his mettle every day.

Akshay Kumar has been experiencing a low phase at the box office with his films performing underwhelmingly, back-to-back. The latest to join the list is Mudassar Aziz’s Khel Khel Mein, which is not minting enough money despite mostly positive reviews. However, Mudassar Aziz believes in Akshay Kumar’s superstardom and maintains that this flop streak will end soon.

In an interview with indianexpress.com, Mudassar was asked about Akshay’s low phase at the box office. He said he is confident that the actor will “find his way” soon. He said, “I’m too junior in the film journey to make a comment on someone as large as Akshay Kumar. He has 33 years of entertainment behind him. He steps out every day in order to prove his mettle, his stardom.”

“He has a very thinking mind. He takes a lot of things into account, so it’s not like he is not solving the Rubik’s cube in his own mind. I am sure he is, which is why I say that form is temporary but class is permanent,” he added.

The filmmaker recalled that Shah Rukh Khan also had a low phase in his career but made a stellar comeback. “He will find his way. It has happened too many times before. It has happened with Shah Rukh Khan sahab for five-seven years. Unfortunately, we live in a society where writing somebody off is very fashionable. But all that said, I, as a filmmaker, will share my experience working with him,” he mentioned.

Mudassar added, “For somebody who likes to make comedies and make everyone laugh in the audience, which is my fuel, my experience with him has been exhilarating. We gave so many things to one another during the making of Khel Khel Mein. He will, in my eyes and in the eyes of many people across the country, always be Akshay Kumar, ” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar stars opposite Vaani Kapoor as a surgeon in Khel Khel Mein. The film also features Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal and Aditya Seal in prominent roles. The film was released on August 15, facing a three-way clash with Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 and John Abraham’s Vedaa.
