Alia Bhatt has revealed if she spies on her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor. Alia appeared on the first episode of Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show season 2. She was joined by her mentor, producer Karan Johar, and her Jigra team, Vedang Raina and Vasan Bala. During the episode, the team spoke about several subjects. One of the subjects was her upcoming spy film, Alpha.
The film marks Alia’s second spy film. She was previously seen in Raazi. Noting that she has done one spy film before marriage and is now gearing for the second after her wedding, Kapil jokingly asked her, “Alia, what do you think, are girls better spies before or after marriage? Let me come straight to the point. Have you ever spied on Ranbir?” Alia replied, “I’ve never felt the need to spy on him.”
Kapil then introduced Alia to Ranbir’s ‘ex’ Dafli. Dafli, played by Sunil Grover, was shown to be interested in Ranbir. So much so that in the previous season, they also share a ‘loving’ moment. Dafli joked that she is not okay after their ‘split’. When Kapil asked her to ‘move on’, she joked that his appearance on the show last season derailed her attempt to move on.
When she meets Alia, Dafli asks, “Oh, so this is Alia Bhatt.” Alia then clarified, “Alia Bhatt Kapoor,” leaving Dafli’s heart broken. Dafli then sings a song about her broken heart, which leaves everyone in splits.
Besides this, the guests also participate in a round of Komments ki Khujli, in which they read out the funniest comments dropped by social media users on each of the guest’s Instagram posts.
The Great Indian Kapil Show season 2 has returned after just a few months of break. While Alia and Karan kicked off the new season, the makers have confirmed that Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, Rohit Sharma and more guests are expected to appear.
