Did Lady Gaga just surprise us in more than one way? We think so. The Oscar-winner was in the French capital for the weekend to perform during the 2024 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony. She sang a spirited rendition of French ballet dancer and singer Zizi Jeanmaire’s Mon Truc en Plumes (My Feathery Thing). For the occasion, she wore a black leotard and gloves and was surrounded by dancers donning round pink feathered attires. While we are still not over her energetic performance that kickstarted the Olympics on July 26, she has dropped another bombshell that has sent fans into a frenzy. Lady Gaga reportedly called Michael Polansky, who is also in Paris, her fiance.

Reports suggest that the actress and singer was attending an Olympic swimming competition on Sunday, along with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. While the two were seen talking, Gaga introduced Michael Polansky, who has been her boyfriend for four years now as “my fiance.”

Although no official announcement has been made, her choice of words has created a major buzz regarding her relationship status. In a TikTok shared by French PM Gabriel Attal, Gaga can be heard introducing Polansky as her fiance to Attal, reports CNN.

Earlier, the duo had sparked engagement rumours earlier this year too. In April, she was captured flaunting a large diamond on her ring finger, leading many to believe that she was engaged.

The Bloody Mary singer has been engaged twice in the past. Before her relationship with Michael Polansky, she was engaged to actor Taylor Kinney and then to talent agent Christian Carino.

Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky started dating in the latter half of 2019. They were also spotted together at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas in 2020. Soon after, they made their relationship official with an Instagram post of their Miami tour where they were also seen attending the Super Bowl.

Polansky is a tech entrepreneur and has been a supportive partner, accompanying Gaga to significant events. In January 2021, they two were seen holding hands at President Joe Biden’s inauguration rehearsal, where Gaga had performed. “My dogs and the man that I love are my whole life,” Lady Gaga said during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in November 2021.

On her work front, Lady Gaga is currently busy preparing for the release of her film Joker: Folie à Deux, opposite actor Joaquin Phoenix. In this movie, she will play Harley Quinn, Joker’s love interest. With its trailer generating rave reviews and curiosity already, the film is set to release on October 4.
