Bad Newz Box Office Collection Day 1: Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri starrer Bad Newz hit theatres on Friday, July 19 and impressed the audiences. It has now been reported that the film, which also stars Ammy Virk, has earned over Rs 8 crore on its opening day.
How Much Did Bad Newz Earn On Its Opening Day?
As reported by Sacnilk.com, Bad Newz earned Rs 8.50 crore on its first day. It recorded an overall occupancy of 22.83 per cent in the Hindi market. While morning shows saw an occupancy of 13.26 per cent, it increased to 21.74 per cent and 37.16 per cent during the evening and night shows respectively.

Backed by producers Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is a rom-com that features a fresh trio of talents – Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. The film’s offbeat storyline, where Dimri’s character finds out she’s expecting twins from two different fathers, portrayed by Kaushal and Virk, has intrigued audiences and sparked curiosity about the movie’s plot.
Vicky Kaushal has also been grabbing attention for his dance moves in Tauba Tauba song. Besides this, his sizzling chemistry with Triptii in the intimate song Jaanam has also grabbed everyone’s attention. Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz also features Neha Dhupia.

On Friday, Vicky’s ladylove, Katrina Kaif also reviewed the film. She took to her Instagram handle and shared the poster of the film. Later, Triptii Dimri’s rumoured beau Sam Merchant also gave a positive review to Bad Newz. He took to his Instagram stories and shared the song Tauba Tauba song. He wrote, “Great performance thoroughly entertaining! @TriptiiDimri Ufff!!”
