Billy Ray Cyrus Breaks Silence On Leaked Audio, Blames Firerose For Ruining His Career

Billy Ray Cyrus has finally addressed the viral audio clip where he is heard arguing with his estranged wife, Firerose. The recording, which recently surfaced on social media, shows Cyrus lashing out at his ex. The Daily Mail first shared the clip and it quickly spread online. Following the leak, the artist confirmed that it was his voice in the recording and explained he was at his “wit’s end” during the heated exchange. The country singer also accused Firerose of being involved in a serious crime in the past, alleging that she was arrested for “felony residential burglary.” He claimed that everything he believed about her was a lie and accused her of trying to take over his career, tarnishing the Cyrus name for her own benefit.

Taking to his Instagram story, Cyrus wrote, “Hell yeah I was at my wit’s end. As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. And that’s before I knew she was a fraud. I just knew something wasn’t right. That was before I knew she was David Hodges ex-wife. That’s before I knew her parents last name. I had no idea she was arrested for felony residential burglary. I saw before my very own eyes, everything I thought I knew about her, was a lie. She was trying to take over my career, my life and usurp the Cyrus name for her own gain. See you in court.”

In the leaked audio, Billy Ray Cyrus is heard insulting and demeaning Firerose. The argument seems to have risen after Cyrus got late for a show. He warns her saying, “If you had just left it the f**k alone, now I’m really f**king p***ed, once again showing you will not listen. I don’t know who the f**k you think you are, but you will not listen. This ain’t about nothing this is about you being a selfish. I don’ think you’re real smart, I’ve changed my mind on that s**t. What I think you are is a selfish f**king b***h. That’s what you are.”

In the further recording, Cyrus is heard yelling and showing no patience as Firerose pleads him to stop. He blames her for causing a mess and expresses his frustration with harsh language, saying that her actions are unacceptable. In a separate part of the clip, the singer, speaking with himself, insults his own daughter, Miley Cyrus, using derogatory terms to describe her.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose publicly acknowledged their relationship in 2022 after several years of friendship. They got married in October 2023, but the singer filed for divorce this year in May. Since then, they have been caught in a legal dispute.
