Dhanush Birthday: The REAL Reason The Kubera Star Is A Vegetarian | Know Here
Tamil actor, singer, lyricist, and producer Dhanush turns 41 today.

Tamil actor, singer, lyricist, and producer Dhanush shot to national fame in 2011 with his hit song “Why This Kolaveri Di.” His film debut came in 2002 with “Thulluvadho Ilamai,” directed by his father, Kasthuriraja. Since then, Dhanush has starred in over 50 films, performed over 50 playback songs, and written more than 40 songs. Born on July 28, 1983, Dhanush turns 41 this year. Among a lot of lesser-known facts that fans know about him is that he’s a vegetarian.

Dhanush, who was named ‘Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity’ by PETA in 2011, isn’t just a vegetarian by choice. According to several reports, his commitment to vegetarianism reflects his deep devotion as a Shiv bhakt. He also named his children Yatra after Lord Shiva, born in 2006, and Linga, born in 2010.

Dhanush’s 41st birthday treat for fans was a new look from his upcoming epic fantasy drama Kubera. The poster, shared by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, shows Dhanush with a beard and intense look against a dark background. The caption read, “Wishing D man of versatility, D man of experiments @dhanushkraja sir a very happy birthday. (burning heart and fire emoji) #SekharKammulasKubera #HappyBirthdayDhanush #Dhanush.”

In Kubera, Dhanush portrays a character who starts as a homeless man but eventually rises to become a powerful mafia lord. Alongside Rashmika and Dhanush, the film also features Akkineni Nagarjuna and Jim Sarbh in significant roles. Produced by Suniel Narang under the banner of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, Kubera has music by Devi Sri Prasad. The film will have a pan-Indian release.

Meanwhile, Raayan, directed by Dhanush and starring him in the lead, released on July 26. The action-packed revenge drama also features S. J. Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Saravanan. The music is scored by maestro AR Rahman. The film received rave reviews from fans and critics alike.
