Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan made her debut with the Bengali film Iti Srikanta. Then she won accolades with her performance in the film, Rang De Basanti. Her career didn’t take off in Bollywood like her brother and actor Saif Ali Khan. Her mother and actress Sharmila Tagore is also a prominent actress. Soha starred in a Sunny Deol-starrer Ghayal Once Again, a sequel to the Sunny Deol starrer 1990 hit film Ghayal. She played the role of a psychiatrist named Rhea in this film, which flopped at the box office. In this movie, there was a scene in which Soha Ali Khan was required to slap Sunny Deol to bring him back to his senses. As per the reports, Soha unintentionally slapped the actor a bit harder than usual. This reportedly left everyone on the set in shock.
According to reports, Soha Ali Khan tried hard to get into the skin of her character. In this process, she mistakenly slapped Sunny Deol a little too hard. Reportedly, the team present at the sets thought that Sunny Deol and the director would get infuriated. Nothing of that sort happened. Sunny accepted Soha’s apologies and moved on with the scene. Ghayal Once Again starred Aanchal Munjal, Diana Khan and others in important roles.
Soha Ali Khan hails from the royal Pataudi family and is the youngest daughter of the 9th Nawab of Pataudi, Mansoor Ali Khan. Mansoor Ali Khan was also a former captain of the Indian cricket team. Soha’s sister Saba Ali Khan is a jewellery designer. Soha Ali Khanis the aunt of actress Sara Ali Khan and sister-in-law of actress Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Soha Ali Khancompleted her schooling at The British School in New Delhi. She then completed her education at the Balliol College in Oxford to study modern history. Soha then pursued her master’s in International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Soha worked in a bank before joining Bollywood and was once an employee at the Ford Foundation and Citibank.
