From Flops To Fresh Start: Harman Baweja's New Venture Boy From Andaman Announced

Harman Baweja is a well-known actor in the world of Bollywood film industry. His first film failed to leave its mark at the box office. The film’s box office result had a bad effect on the actor’s career. After this, he was seen in four films which also failed to perform well at the box office. Harman is the son of film director Harry Baweja and producer Pammi Baweja. The actor debuted in 2008 with the film Love Story 2050 opposite popular actress Priyanka Chopra. But his very first film was a flop.

The performance of his first film highly affected his film career. The film had a budget of Rs 40 crore but the film struggled to recover even half of its budget at the box office. The film reportedly recorded a box office collection of just Rs 11.01 crore. Not only this, his next films also struggled at the box office.

Harman was also seen in the film What’s Your Raashee? Under the direction of Ashutosh Gowariker. The film featured actors like Priyanka Chopra, Anjan Srivastav, Darshan Jariwala and Dilip Joshi. The film was reportedly made with a budget of around Rs 32 crore but just managed to earn Rs 11.01 crore. After that, he took a break from his career. He was then seen in the popular web series Scoop under the direction of Hansal Mehta.

The actor also tried his hands in film Producing. According to media reports, Richie Mehta, director of the popular TV series Poachers and Delhi Crime is all set to team up with Harman Baweja for the film Boy From Andaman. It will be produced under the banner of Baweja Studios and Imagine Entertainment.

“Boy From Andaman is the story of Mohan, a post office employee in Mumbai, who receives a letter addressed to God from a boy who survived the deadly 2004 tsunami. The two strike up a friendship before Mohan decides to travel to the Andamans and rescue the boy. Working alongside such a talented team, including Richie Mehta, Janice Chua, Rick Ambros, and Bhhaskar De, is a privilege for me,” Harman said.
