After a lot of buzz, Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey is all set to turn into a quick-fire three-part franchise as makers have finally confirmed the third installment. The franchise made its debut in 2023 with the eponymous first film transforming A.A. Milne’s classic character Winnie-the-Poo into a murderous monster. The film turned out to be a sleeper hit, prompting makers to quickly green-light a sequel in 2024.
While the second film also performed well at the box office, makers have now finally confirmed the third installment. As per the latest reports, the franchise director Rhys Frake-Waterfield and Scott Chambers of Jagged Edge Productions have confirmed the exciting news. The report also suggests that the third film will delve further into the sinister world of Winnie-the-Pooh and will also introduce a few more characters to the horror world including Rabbit, the Heffalumps, and the Woozles.
While makers have already confirmed Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 3, it also suggested that it will come with a better budget which will not only enhance production values but also improve the horror quotient and twists than its predecessor while retaining the franchise’s cult appeal.
The development comes just at a time when Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 2 is presently in the US cinemas as a part of its theatrical run. The film is already receiving good reviews from fans.
About Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 2
While the first film received a lot of negative reviews, the movie later became a talking point in early 2023, earning $5.2 million globally. The second instalment was made on a higher budget than that of the first and is already declared to be a dramatic step up from its predecessor.
Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 2 introduces a creepy version of the Tigger. While the film also shows Winnie finally meeting his fate after getting an axe to the head from Christopher Robin, the movie further wastes no time to reveal that each of the monsters has a healing factor. This clearly suggests that the ghoulish character will be back to terrorise the town soon.
While the film arrives much earlier than expected, it is now yet to be seen if the third installment will keep up with the pace.
