Hollywood star Josh Brolin recently made a return to the big screen with the highly-anticipated film Dune 2. The film seems to have kept up to its promise, re-energising the box office with great numbers. Besides that, the film has also amassed good numbers overseas, throughout the weekend. Brolin who has been busy promoting the film recently spoke to GQ about his experience. He was also seen talking about some of his iconic characters including the most popular role of Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
While recalling the time when he shot for the last Avengers movie, Avengers: Endgame, he shared one of his favourite moments, further heaping praises on his co-star Mark Ruffalo.
During his conversation, the actor began by recalling how he forgot one of his lines during a scene and it was Ruffalo who came to his aid.
“When I was finally in a scene with people who I knew, Ruffalo I knew, Don Cheadle I knew, we had a scene that we did together. I’m on the ground and the cameras are on me. They’re off camera and I looked at Ruffalo, and I forgot my line. And I go, ‘What’s my line?’ Like he would know, he’s a different character, a different actor, and he looked at me, he goes, ‘I don’t know.’ And I go, ‘You have to know. What is it? What is it?’ And I knew it was coming,” Brolin said further adding how the Hulk actor finally helped him.
“Chris is off there saying something. He’s picking up his big thing (hammer), and I go. ‘What’s the line?’ and he (Ruffalo) actually gave me the line,” he continued and called it “very funny.”
“Ruffalo is the nicest human being in the world and the most giving human being. That’s my favorite memory of that movie,” he concluded.
For the unversed, Brolin’s character came to an end after he died twice in Avengers: Endgame and also in multiple universes. He recently also opened up about a possible return of Thanos in the MCU. In a conversation with Comic Book.com, Brolin was seen teasing certain rumours about his potential return.
“You know, I hear kind of like through the grapevine, that they’re gonna bring him back. And there’s the What If…? series and that’s a different kind of Thanos and all that. But I don’t know in the Marvel world whether they’re going to bring him back, but I didn’t know that he was the most killed-off Marvel villain … You learn something new every day,” he said.
