Shilpa Shetty is observing the annual Karwa Chauth fast. The actress, who has been married for 15 years now, revealed that she is fasting for her husband, Raj Kundra. On the eve of the special occasion, Shilpa took to her Instagram Stories and revealed she has decided to keep things simple this year. She shared a video of her Sargi, that is specially made for Karwa Chauth, and opted for minimalistic mehendi.
In the video, Shilpa showed a glimpse of the mehendi cones, the bangles and the sieve, through which she would see the moon. The video also gave a glimpse of the food items she arranged for the special day. Shilpa then shared a picture of her mehendi. The actress revealed she got a simple design done on her palm and also applied mehendi on her feet. Check out the photos below:
Besides Shilpa, several other actresses are also fasting this year. Parineeti Chopra revealed she is fasting for her husband, Raghav Chaddha. This is the couple’s first Karwa Chauth together. Taking to her Instagram stories, Parineeti Chopra shared the mehendi design and also how the house has been decorated for the festival. Even Rakul Preet Singh is observing her first Karwa Chauth. Kiara Advani also shared a picture of a simple mehendi design and revealed that she is fasting for Sidharth Malhotra.
On the other hand, Sonam Kapoor revealed she is not observing the fast for Anand Ahuja. However, she is participating in the festivities. In the first picture shared on her Stories, Sonam revealed that she had got an elaborate mehendi designed on her hand and it featured a nod to her husband, Anand Ahuja, as well as their son, Vayu. The picture appeared to be a repost. The caption read, “Karvachauth eve…mehendi done…thank you @kapoor.sunita (red heart emojis). @sonamkapoor, your patience, omg (tongue out emoji). Missed you @maheepkapoor.”
She followed it with a close up photo of her mehendi-covered hands. The picture revealed that she got Anand’s name on one wrist while Vayu’s name on the other. She then shared a photo and wrote, “I don’t fast FYI but I like the mehendi dressing up and food… (winking face with tongue emoji).”
