Katrina Kaif Talks About Vicky Kaushal's ‘Gentle’ Reminder When She Feels Insecure About Her Looks

Vicky Kaushal continues to show he’s a perfect partner and his wife, actress Katrina Kaif recently shared a heartwarming example of this. During a chat with beauty blogger and entrepreneur Huda Kattan on In Conversation with Kay Beauty & Huda Kattan, Katrina opened up about her husband’s reaction to her occasional physical insecurities. Despite being a global beauty icon, the actress revealed that she too has moments when she’s hard on herself, especially when it comes to her appearance.

Katrina highlighted the importance of self-acceptance, a message her brand Kay Beauty promotes with the slogan – “It’s Kay to be You." Reflecting on this, she shared about moments where she feels down about her looks. She further revealed that Vicky gently reminds her of the very message she advocates through her brand.

“The whole idea behind ‘It’s Kay to be You’ was so important for me to put out there. It is something I still have to remind myself every single day," Katrina said.

“So, for example, I will be sitting and talking with my husband or getting ready for an event, and I’ll be complaining about something about my physical appearance or saying, ‘I am not happy with the way I am looking, and I’ve gained weight and I’m not comfortable’. And my husband will sit there and go ‘Aren’t you the one who keeps telling everyone It’s Kay to be You and it’s okay to be you however you are and just how you are’? And then I kind of look at him and I’ll be like, ‘Do you mind?’ But at the same time, it is that gentle reminder that ‘Hey, one second’. This is what this is about, and this is why I started this (brand), and I have to apply the same kindness to myself," she told the blogger.

Katrina gave her fans a sneak peek of her chat with Huda Kattan by posting a teaser on her Instagram. She captioned it with, “When Kay met Huda. From contouring conversations to highlight moments, the iconic Huda & I discuss our experiences as beauty founders, the pressure to conform to unreal beauty standards, the social media pressure cooker and authentic expression …….. who knew that Make up would be the best therapy session ever !!"

Here as well, Vicky Kaushal playfully jumped to comment and dropped a flirty message for his wife. He cheekily noted, “Cutie!!! #KaymetKaushal… when?" followed by a kiss and pink heart emoji.
