Earlier today, the late singer’s mother, Charan Kaur took to Instagram to share a heartbreaking post in his memory. Originally written in Punjabi, Charan said she will never forget a son like Sidhu and added that she misses him. Charan recently welcomed a second child, a son, which became a massive controversy in India.

“Miss you son Sidhu. We  will never forget a son like you in our whole life. You will always remain in our hearts, son. Your memory will always be there. This day is written in black letters in history. Sidhu Moose Vaal son,” she wrote in Punjabi.

Sidhu Moose Wala’s father Balkaur also remembered him. Sharing a picture of Sidhu on Instagram, he used the hashtag, #JusticeforSidhuMooseWala. He also spoke with ANI and revealed that the family is hosting an intimate religious gathering at the singer’s house. He then urged fans not to travel from outside Moosa, Sidhu’s hometown.

Balkaur Singh noted that the summer heat has not been kind and urged fans to not travel in this heat. “There will be a very simple program tomorrow because there are elections and temperatures are very high. We have told people outside to not come here, only the people of the village and family are coming. Public has been told to not come…Only the religious rituals will be performed,” Sidhu Moosewala’s father said.

Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29 in Punjab’s Mansa district. The assailants fired over 30 rounds at the singer. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment but was declared dead soon. His last rites were held on May 31. Fans from across the state travelled to Mansa to pay their respects.
