She was reportedly an engineering student before she joined the film industry. According to media reports, the actress revealed in an interview that she started modelling as a hobby while she was studying in the second year of her engineering course. She was working on TV commercials when she realised that she enjoyed shooting and facing the camera.
In the interview, Kriti said, “Commercials didn’t require much acting, but whenever I did, I felt very comfortable doing it. The directors I have worked with in the ads told me that I had a natural talent for acting and I should pursue it. Slowly, I realised that I am good at acting and decided to pursue it.”
While talking about her modelling career, she shared a memorable incident that took place with her. Kriti said, “I remember my first ramp walk very well to date because I messed it up. The show was in Delhi, and I was walking on a lawn. It was very difficult to walk in such high heels. It was my first such show and I was very nervous. I remember I was feeling so terrible that I started crying. I will never forget that day.”
Kriti initially gained prominence with an ad for a toothpaste brand. She will be seen in upcoming films like Housefull 5, Bhediya 2 and Do Patti.
