According to reports, Pilla Zamindar’s producer, DS Rao, recently revealed at an event that the film is set to receive a sequel, with story discussions already in progress. However, fans are still eagerly awaiting an official announcement regarding the film’s sequel. The original, directed by G Ashok, featured a talented cast, including Nani, Haripriya, Bindu Madhavi, Rao Ramesh, Dhanraj, Satya, Vennela Kishore, and Srinivas Avasarala in key roles.
The reports regarding Pilla Zamindar 2 have raised excitement among the fans. Given the massive success of the first film, fans have been speculating whether Nani would reprise the lead role in the upcoming sequel or not.
Pilla Zamindar was loosely inspired by the 2006 Korean drama film, A Millionaire’s First Love. The story follows Nani’s character, PJ, a brash young man poised to inherit his grandfather’s fortune. However, to secure his inheritance, he must meet specific conditions, the most crucial being that he must graduate from a local government college while living like an ordinary person, devoid of any luxuries.
Apart from this, the actor also has Hit 3: The Third Case alongside KGF fame actress Sreenidhi Shetty. Earlier, actors like Vishwak Sen and Adivi Sesh had taken up the lead roles in Hit: The First Case and Hit: The Second Case, respectively. Helmed by Sailesh Konlau and backed by Prashanti Tipirneni under the banner of Wall Poster Cinema, the music for the film will be composed by Mickey J Meyer. It is slated to hit the theatres on May 1, 2025.
Nani will also be seen collaborating with director Srikanth Odela after the success of their period action drama film Dasara for which the actor also bagged the Best Actor Award (Telugu) at the IIFA Utsavam 2024 held in Abu Dhabi.
