Pawan Kalyan REVEALS If He Will Finish His Pending Films After Becoming Deputy CM: 'You Must Forgive Me'
Pawan Kalyan clarifies he wants to focus on his constituency for now before resuming film shoots.

Pawan Kalyan has finally clarified if he will complete his pending movies after becoming Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister. On Wednesday, the actor-turned-politician held a public meeting in his constituency, Pithapuram, when people started to chant the title of his upcoming movie, ‘OG’. While this left Kalyan smiling, he then asked his fans, “OG? Do you think I’ll have the time to make films?”

Pawan Kalyan then clarified that he wants to focus on his constituency for now before resuming film shoots. “I made a promise. First, I want to concentrate on making this constituency better. No one should fault me for at least not filling potholes or building new roads. OG chestava, kya ji, ante mari em cheppanu? (What will I do if someone questions why I’m busy shooting for OG instead?)” he said as quoted by Hindustan Times.

The actor-turned-politician then revealed that he has asked filmmakers also to give him some time. “With that fear in my heart, I even told my filmmakers — you must forgive me, but I need to concentrate on serving people first. I will shoot films only when I find the time for it,” he added.

However, Pawan Kalyan concluded by teasing fans about OG, saying, “OG chudduru gaani, bauntundi. (You’ll indeed watch OG, it’ll be good.)”

Pawan Kalyan, formally known as Konidela Kalyan Babu, made his acting debut in 1996 with Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi. The film was an official remake of Aamir Khan’s Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. While the film gave a glimpse of his actress prowess, it was his film with director A Karunakaran, Tholi Prema (1999). The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu and six Nandi Awards that year.

The actor, who is the brother of Telugu stars Chiranjeevi and Nagendra Babu, is known for his martial arts and starred in several films, including Gokulamlo Seeta (1997), Suswagatham (1998), Thammudu (1999), Kushi (2001), Balu (2005), Jalsa (2008), Gabbar Singh (2012), Attarintiki Daredi (2013), Gopala Gopala (2015), and Vakeel Saab (2021), to name a few. He starred in Bro last year.
