Pregnant Masaba Gupta Opens Up About Persistent Body Acne: 'I've Renamed Them Baby Kisses'
Masaba Gupta got candid about getting acne post pregnancy and why she has named it baby kisses.

Fashion designer Masaba Gupta, who is eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first child with husband-actor Satyadeep Mishra, recently opened up about her skin condition. On Saturday, she took to her Instagram Stories to share her experience with “a fresh bout of body acne that leaves a mark behind” every few weeks during her pregnancy.

Masaba shared a cropped photo of herself revealing these marks. In the image, only her shoulder is visible, adorned with a diamond necklace and a white bathrobe. Alongside the picture, she included a red heart emoji, offering a glimpse of her journey.

In her note, Masaba expressed, “Through my pregnancy I’ve been getting a fresh bout of body acne that leave a mark behind–every couple of weeks. Was troubled by it earlier but I’ve just renamed them ‘baby kisses’ now. A reminder of the newness of creation maybe. But incase you are going through something similar, hormones can be wild. You are not alone (red heart emoji).”

Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Mishra celebrated their union in January 2023 in a wedding graced by her mother Neena Gupta, father Vivian Richards, and step-father Vivek Mehra.

In April, Masaba shared the joyous news of their impending parenthood on Instagram. She delightfully announced, “In other news – Two little feet are on their way to us! Please send love, blessings and banana chips (plain salted ONLY) #babyonboard #mom&dad.” Accompanying this message were heartfelt photos, including one of a pregnant woman and another of Masaba resting her head on Satyadeep’s shoulder.

Before this, Masaba was married to producer Madhu Mantena. Their wedding took place in June 2015, but they decided to part ways in 2019. Satyadeep was also previously married to actor Aditi Rao Hydari from 2009 to 2013. As an actor, Satyadeep has appeared in notable films such as No One Killed Jessica, Tigers, and Bombay Velvet.

Beyond her design career, Masaba ventured into acting with her debut in the Netflix series Masaba Masaba and also featured in Prime Video’s anthology series Modern Love: Mumbai.
