Ranbir Kapoor Tells Sonam Kapoor He'll Become A Filmmaker On One Condition: 'If You Become...' | Viral

Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor’s friendship traces back to their debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film, Saawariya. Their on-screen chemistry sparked rumours of them dating during the course of the film and the promotions. However, as their careers progressed, the two drifted apart and Sonam said that Ranbir is only a good friend to her. Recently, a video has surfaced on the internet, capturing a candid moment between them. In the video, Sonam playfully says that she will only pursue a career as a writer if Ranbir becomes a filmmaker.

The video starts with Ranbir telling Sonam, “I know you are a damn good writer, the way speak – you are very articulate. Are you gonna pursue this in any form? Are you gonna start writing? Sonam says, “If you become a filmmaker, then I will become a writer.” Ranbir asks her, “Is that a challenge?” Sonam added, “No. But if you think I should write, I think you should make a film. Because I think you are going to be the best filmmaker ever.” To this, a surprised Ranbir said, “Are you serious?” Sonam replied, “Yes, I am serious. It’s because you are constantly in your mind… in your head. You space out all the time. I am having a conversation with you and you look somewhere else. I know you are blank. I think you should become a filmmaker because of your overactive imagination. I think you have the patience to do it. The day you make a film, I will write.”

On the professional front, Sonam was last featured in director Shome Makhija’s crime drama film Blind alongside Lucy Aarden and Shubham Saraf. She will next grace the screen in producer and sister Rhea Kapoor’s upcoming film Battle of Bittora, an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s novel of the same name. The film will be created under their banner Anil Kapoor Films Company.
