Rishab Shetty, who received immense recognition for his blockbuster film Kantara, is soon going to be back with its prequel. Kantara: Chapter 1 is one of the most anticipated films, and the National Award winning actor has once again captivated viewers with his dedication to his craft. Rishab recently released a glimpse of his tough training session on social media which has only increased the buzz around the upcoming project.
In the latest picture, Rishab Shetty can be seen performing Kalaripayattu, one of the world’s oldest advanced martial arts techniques that originated in Kerala. In the photo, Rishab is shown clutching a sword and shield flaunting his well built physique. He was clad in a black vest and a maroon dhoti. The actor posted the picture with nothing but a heart emoji.
Fans soon started showering praises in the comments and also expressed how eager they were to watch the film. One of them wrote, “Kantara chapter 1 create a history,” while another stated, “Waiting for kantara chapter 1”
Earlier, a report by Pinkvilla revealed that the Kantara: Chapter 1’s fourth scheduled shoot is expected to begin in the last week of August. According to sources mentioned by the publication, the upcoming shoot would contain a major action sequence shot on a grand scale. The film is said to be a precursor to the previous installment and will most likely continue the story of the Panchurli Deiva, which is set in the Kadamba era. The prequel, directed by Rishab, reintroduces Ajaneesh Loknath as the music director, who wowed everyone with his work in the first film.
Further, the report mentioned that the film is anticipated to hit theatres in late 2024, and OTT platform Amazon Prime Video is expected to acquire the streaming rights post-release.
