Salman Khan was seen attending a special event on Wednesday in Mumbai where he took a quick moment to make a special wish to Lord Ganesha. With Ganesh Chaturthi around the corner, Salman was at an event wherein there were a line of Ganesha idols placed. In a video gone viral, the actor was seen picking up one of the idols and making a special wish in the idol’s ears.
He was joined by his Hum Saath Saath Hain co-star Sonali Bendre. Apart from offering a special prayer, Salman also revealed that he will be celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi at home. “Humare parivaar mein jab hum Ganesh ji laate hai ghar pe, toh hum eco-friendly hi late hai. Itna pure festival hai, usme impure Ganesh? Ganesh ji ko bhi pure hona chahiye na,” he said.
He urged fans to bring home eco-friendly Ganesha idols so that, during visarjan, the remains of the idol does not pollute the environment. Watch both the videos below:
Ganesh Chaturthi falls on September 7 this year. Like every year, this year too several Bollywood actors are expected to bring home the idol and celebrate the festival in all its glory. This would include Shraddha Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Riteish Deshmukh.
As for Salman Khan, he has been busy with his upcoming projects. The actor is collaborating with A.R. Murugadoss on a film titled Sikandar. The film is set to release on Eid next year. Besides this, there was also a rumoured Tiger vs Pathaan film that was reportedly in the making.
