In the latest episode of Shark Tank India season 3, Namita Thapar got disappointed with a pitcher who claimed that his energy drink was healthy. The pitcher named Devesh asked for Rs 50 lakh in return of 2 per cent equity and argued that there is inositol in his drink which helps in PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome). However, Namita Thapar stopped him in between for making a false claim. “Your confidence is good but PCOS ka angle mat pakadiye please,” she said.
Anupam Mittal also jumped in and said, “Kyun fek rahe ho yaar, chhati thok ke bol na energy drink hai. It does not have to be good for health. It’s ok.”
On the contrary, Vineeta Singh liked the energy drink. She appreciated the pitcher for his product and said, “Energy drink hai, made in India hai aur affordable hai. It’s a very good angle.” However, she backed out of the deal saying Devesh’s branding may not be sustained for a long time. Needless to say, Namita and Anupam also backed out of the deal.
It was Aman Gupta who offered a deal to the pitcher. The deal was closed at Rs 10 lakh for 10 per cent equity and Rs 40 lakh as debt for two years at the interest rate of 12 per cent.
