Bollywood star Taapsee Pannu surprised everyone by marrying her longtime partner, Danish badminton player Mathias Boe, in a quiet ceremony in Udaipur. The couple opted for an intimate gathering with only close family and friends in attendance. While the newly married couple has kept their life private, Taapsee’s sister, Shagun Pannu, recently gave fans a glimpse into Mathias’ playful side. She shared a fun video of Mathias enjoying an Indian song while travelling in a car. The clip shows Mathias grooving to the popular tune Balaji No 1. Shagun was impressed by her brother-in-law’s unique pre-game rituals and decided to share this lighthearted moment with fans on her Instagram Stories, which Mathias also reposted on his handle
Wearing a pink shirt, Mathias is seen seated in the front of a car and dancing to the groovy song. Explaining the scene, Shagun wrote, “Mathias Boe’s idea of pre-gaming.” Later, the badminton player himself reposted the clip on his Instagram story, with the caption, “Balaji, No 1.”
For those not aware, Taapsee Pannu and Mathias Boe were in a relationship for 11 years before tying the knot earlier this year. While Taapsee has kept her personal life with the badminton champion private, she recently shared with Cosmopolitan India what initially made her fall in love with Mathias.
She explained, “I have always been very impressed and in awe of athletes who play for their country and play under extreme pressure without getting affected. There was a lot of testing and a lot of me being sure. It was not like a love-at-first-sight situation, for me at least, I took time to test if it was really practical, and the feasibility of the relationship was important to me. I was obviously fond of him and respected him, and we kept meeting and I grew to love him. When I met him I felt like I met a man. I had dated so many boys before him and suddenly, I met a guy who didn’t feel like anyone I’d been with before. So there’s this sudden sense of security and maturity.”
