Teasers and trailers are essential elements in a film’s promotional strategy, often determining its box office success. The team behind Golden Star Ganesh’s upcoming family entertainer and romantic drama, Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi, is set to premiere on August 15. The film has opted for a different approach. The team has decided not to release any teaser or trailer. Instead, the makers are releasing all the songs of the film’s soundtrack, one by one, as part of the promotional strategy. The team had previously unveiled two of the six songs for the film. Now, the makers have released the third song of Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi, which is titled Dwapara. The lyrics written by V Nagendra Prasad are considered the USP of the song. The song was unveiled on July 18.
In an interview, the film’s director Srinivasa Raju explained his unconventional approach with Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi. He stated, “The purpose of a teaser and trailer is to introduce a film and give a preview of what’s to come. For a love story, that job is best done by the music. Songs act as the invitation card for a love story, and I am relying solely on them to reach our target audience." The filmmaker added that he is not interested in revealing any details about the narrative at this time. Srinivasa Raju further mentioned that teasers and trailers are often just a formality. He reminisced about the 80s and 90s when films were released without teasers or trailers, relying solely on the strength of the music to attract audiences.
Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi is going to feature a stellar ensemble cast. It is being reported that the film stars 8 leading ladies. In a recent media interaction, Ganesh revealed that it would be the costliest film that he has starred in.
