Wamiqa Gabbi Joins Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu For Raj And DK's Series? Know Here

Aditya Roy Kapur’s upcoming web series with Raj and DK has a lineup of stellar female leads, as per reports. While it was earlier reported that Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been roped in for the show, the latest reports mention that Wamiqa Gabbi will also be sharing the screen with them.

It was earlier reported that the series is tentatively titled Rakhtbeej and falls under the action genre. However, Peeping Moon claims in their report that the series is currently called Rakht Brahmand and will be a period fantasy. They also mentioned in their report that Raj and DK will only be the showrunners and it will be directed by Rahi Anil Barve of Tumbbad fame.

A source told the portal, “Rahi has created a mysterious, fantastical world that has never been explored in Indian cinema before. Aditya, Samantha, and Wamiqa were immediately taken aback by the concept and visualization and are excited to venture into entirely uncharted professional territory with this show. It’s a passion project that Rahi has been developing since before Tumbbad came out. He had initially planned it as a feature film but adapted it into a web series due to extensive material that couldn’t fit into the movie format. Expect an incredible, exhilarating ride that will transport you into a world full of deceit and double-crossing, love and sacrifice, and destiny.”

Earlier, Mid-Day had reported, “It was only in May that he (Aditya) gave his nod to the project. Soon after, the makers brought Samantha on board. Since the show heavily relies on action, the two actors have begun their individual prep. They will do joint training sessions soon.” The report claimed that the director duo is currently busy shooting the third season of Family Man. After this, they plan to take the show on floors by August this year. However, the director duo are yet to confirm these reports.

This marks Aditya’s second venture into the OTT world after The Night Manager. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a frequent collaborator for Raj and DK. She was first seen in Raj and DK’s Family Man and will now headline Citadel: Honey Bunny with Varun Dhawan. Fans are now excited to watch Wamiqa Gabbi on screen with Aditya Roy Kapur and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
