The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) keeps expanding and the latest film, Deadpool & Wolverine, is setting global box office on fire. The excitement around the film is sky high partly due to Hugh Jackman’s return as Logan. The on screen rivalry between Ryan Reynolds and Jackman provides plenty of laughs and the action is top notch. However, one particular thrilling scene features the titular characters battling a whole team of Deadpool variants in a single, intense shot. Director Shawn Levy recently shared raw footage of Jackman’s hilarious and genuine reaction seeing the rehearsal of an epic fight scene for the first time.
Jackman came out of retirement for the MCU movie, after stepping away following the release of Logan in 2017. The action star not only revived his role but also wore the iconic yellow suit from the comics for the first time in a live action film. For those not aware, in the sequence, Logan and Wade Wilson are seen fighting against the whole team of Merc with a Mouth, known as Deadpool corps. These variants follow them through an inter dimensional portal created by Cassandra Nova. The action packed scene is filled with blood and gore, which has left fans excited. Sharing the video, Levy wrote, “First time we showed Hugh Jackman a rehearsal of the single-shot street fight with the Deadpool corps.”

In the film, the faces behind Deadpool’s variants are mostly hidden, but it’s been revealed that many are played by familiar faces. Ryan Reynolds’ entire family makes a fun appearance in the action-packed sequence. Blake Lively played the role of Lady Deadpool, while their eldest daughter, James, plays a Screaming Mutant. Seven-year-old Inez appears as Kidpool and their youngest son, Olin is Babypool. Although Betty doesn’t appear on screen, she is credited as the ‘Hugh Jackman wrangler.’
In a surprising twist, Spider Man star Tom Holland’s brother, Harry Holland, makes an unexpected appearance as Haroldpool. British footballer Paul Mullin, who plays for Wrexham A.F.C. features Welshpool. Interestingly, one of the Deadpool variants is a doppelganger of Reynolds himself, with a sidekick named, Dogpool.
Other than Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool & Wolverine stars Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapicic, Aaron Stanford, Brianna Hildebrand, Tyler Mane, Rob Delaney, Lewis Tan, Jason Flemyng, Kelly Hu, Ray Park, Dafne Keen, Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes, Chris Evans and Henry Cavill.
