When Amitabh Bachchan Revealed Why He Avoids Explicit Scenes, Vulgar Language In Films: 'My Family...'
Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood’s megastar, has delivered countless hits while always sticking to one golden rule.

Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood’s legendary megastar, has given the Indian Film Industry countless hits over the decades, but there’s one golden rule he’s always stuck to — no expletives and no provocative intimate scenes on screen! Despite the industry’s ever-changing landscape and the increasing demand for gritty realism, Amitabh Bachchan has never crossed that line.

In a throwback interview during the making of Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap, Amitabh Bachchan opened up about this choice. The reason? His family values! It turns out that the veteran actor decided early on to steer clear of anything he considered vulgar, even if the role demanded it. It’s a decision that’s set him apart in an industry where many would do anything for the sake of authenticity.

When asked if he ever used slang in real life, maybe in his young days, Amitabh Bachchan had told Rediff, “You cannot mix personal life with the character, it won’t be fair. I have always tried not to use vulgar language in my career, in my films or for my character. I don’t use vulgar language and don’t do explicit scenes because I am not comfortable doing it and plus I think my family should not feel disgusted with me if they go to see my films and hear vulgar language. I won’t talk about my personal life — it is too personal.”

While some may argue that pushing boundaries is part of an actor’s job, Amitabh Bachchan’s refusal to compromise on his principles has made him a role model for many for decades. It begs the question — does maintaining a decorum on screen actually add to an actor’s legacy? For Big B, it certainly seems to have done the trick!

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen in Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan. Kalki 2898 AD was recently released on Netflix and Prime Video in various languages. He has returned for yet another season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The actor reprised his role as the host for KBC 16 and impressed fans with his dedication and hard work.

On the personal front, Amitabh Bachchan continued the tradition of waving to his fans from the entrance of his Juhu bungalow, Jalsa, on Sundays. This is where is he resides with wife Jaya Bachchan and daughter Shweta Bachchan.
