South Korean boy band BTS has become the fifth most streamed artist on Spotify. While the band members, including Suga, J Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook, are currently serving their mandatory military duties, it hasn’t stopped them from breaking records.
The impressive 65.4 billion streams also include their hit tracks as a group, and solo albums and singles of each member. Interestingly, the South Korean group now stands only behind global icons such as Drake, Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and The Weeknd.
Meanwhile, Jungkook is standing out with his solo track, Seven, which recently surpassed Taylor Swift’s Blank Space on Spotify’s all-time streaming list. With an impressive 1.92 billion streams, the song has become 124th most streamed song in platform’s history, while Blank Space has 1.9 billion streams.

Not just Seven, but Jungkook’s track Standing Next to You from his latest album GOLDEN is also breaking records. It has become the fastest solo song by an Asian artist to reach 900 million streams on Spotify. This makes him the first and only Asian, K-pop soloist to have three songs, along with Seven and Dynamite to surpass the 900 mark on the platform.

According to previous reports from the Guinness World Records, BTS’ song Dynamite reached 1.60 billion streams, followed by Butter with 1.08 billion streams and Boy With Luv at 1.01 billion streams. This made them the most streamed male group on Spotify for the second time. Following BTS, Blackpink, which includes Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa, holds the title of the most streamed female K-pop group on the platform.
On July 13, 2024, BTS’ agency HYBE Entertainment held a celebration called, FESTA, to celebrate the septet’s 11th debut anniversary. During this event, Jin hosted a special gathering to connect with ARMYs and created a memorable moment with them. Currently, Suga, J Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook are serving in the military and are expected to complete their service by July 2025.
