Anupam Kher recently treated fans to a heartwarming throwback group photograph on Instagram featuring himself, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, and Arjun Kapoor. The 68-year-old maintains a striking social media presence and often posts about his whereabouts. Be it sharing updates about his upcoming projects or simply wishing fans on festivals — Anupam Kher’s social media feed is an open book, giving glimpses into his personal life. In his latest Instagram entry, Anupam Kher penned a sweet note, explaining why the snap reminded him of the 1968 film Padosan.
Leaving it to the hands of the internet population to come up with an appropriate caption for the post, Anupam Kher wrote, “I don’t know why this pic of Ranveer Varun and Arjun taken few years back reminds me of the film Padosan. Maybe the madness was created here. Also, don’t miss Arjun pointing to the poster of Dr Dang from the movie Karma!”
The picture captured Anupam Kher standing in the middle of the frame while Ranveer Singh clicked the photograph. Ranveer, Arjun Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan exuded goofy expressions. The Gunday co-stars even seemed to try out a pout-like gesture while Varun made a funny face. Anupam Kher simply sported a smile, joining the young and crazy actors. Arjun Kapoor was spotted pointing his hand towards a film poster of Anupam Kher in the popular role of Dr Dang from the 1986 film Karma. Other film posters could also be seen on the wall behind them.
Movie enthusiasts were quick to react to the hilarious picture of the Bollywood stars. “What a goofy face of all,” noted one user. Identifying them with their respective films, a second individual turned a bit creative as they wrote, “Simmba, Humpty Sharma and Ishaqzaade gathered together with Saransh.” “One moon three stars,” came another lovely comment.
Speaking about Anupam Kher, the actor will next be seen in director Anurag Basu’s romance drama Metro In Dino which is expected to release in 2024. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is geared up to slip into the shoes of Shah Rukh Khan for the much-anticipated Farhan Akhtar directorial Don 3. On the other hand, while Varun Dhawan was last seen in the film Bawaal, opposite Janhvi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor has been roped in for Ajay Bahl’s The Ladykiller alongside Bhumi Pednekar.
