Over the years, the Hindi film industry has produced some of the most engaging content. The films have not only impressed people in India but have also reached a global level as well. The actors, actresses, directors and musicians have garnered a lot of love and attention on the international stage as well. Hindi films have stormed the box office collections as well, with many films creating records.

But there have been times when films have not been able to perform well at the box office and have brought losses for the producers. Some of these films had some of the biggest stars as well and created a lot of hype but turned out to be flops at the box office. So, let’s take a look at them:

Ganapath

The recently released action film, Ganapath: A Hero is Born, is the latest addition to the flop films that were made on a big budget. The film is directed by Vikas Bahl and stars Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. The film was one of the most anticipated films of the year, but it failed to leave an impact on the audience. It was produced by Jacky Bhagnani and was made on a budget of Rs 200 crore but it was declared a flop and could make around Rs 15 crore.

Adipurush

Om Raut’s adaptation of the epic tale of Ramayana is considered one of the biggest setbacks of Bollywood. There was a lot of anticipation around the film because of its plot. It starred Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh in the lead roles but it failed to impress the audience. Adipurush was made on a mammoth budget of around Rs 700 crore but could only mint around Rs 450 crore, causing losses to the producers.

Samrat Prithviraj

Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan is a historical action film starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar. There was a lot of anticipation among the audience for the film, and people were expecting a lot from it as it was based on a true story. But it failed to leave an impact. It was made on a budget of almost Rs 300 crore and could only manage to earn Rs 90 crore.
