At Sukhee Screening, Rekha Poses With Shilpa Shetty, Govinda And Family

Shilpa Shetty is currently making the headlines for her recently-released film Sukhee. The family drama helmed by Sonal Joshi also stars Kusha Kapila, Dilnaz Irani, Amith Sadh, and Chaitanya Choudhry in important roles. The Bollywood diva was last seen in the 2022 action-comedy Nikamma which failed to impress the masses and critics alike. Ahead of Sukhee’s release today, September 22, the makers organised a special screening on Thursday, September 21. The star-studded event which witnessed the presence of many Bollywood celebrities and television personalities was conducted in Mumbai. Veteran actress Rekha also attended the occasion and like always stole the limelight.

In a video dropped by celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani on Instagram, Rekha was captured interacting and posing for photos with Shilpa Shetty, alongside Govinda and his family. Rekha weaved six yards of grace in a quintessential Kanjivaram silk saree. She accessorised her signature, traditional look with gold ornaments. Shilpa Shetty, on the other hand, looked gorgeous in a red, embroidered crop top that she paired with draped trousers and a cape of the same hue. The 48-year-old rounded off her look with a statement stone-encrusted necklace and open tresses.

In the video, Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja was seen touching the feet of Rekha. Sunita, Govinda, their son Yashvardan Ahuja, Rekha, and Shilpa Shetty posed patiently for the shutterbugs to click pictures. Rekha and Shilpa were seen engaged in a friendly banter with the Sukhee actress whispering something to Rekha. The duo posed for photographs separately before Shilpa escorted the Silsila actress to her car. Before leaving the screening premises, Rekha was seen displaying a lovely gesture to Shilpa, touching her chin affectionately. Both had beaming smiles on their faces.

Social media users who came across the video were quick to shower Rekha with compliments. While one of them wrote, “I love Rekha. She is a pure soul,” another pointed out, “Rekha is looking so beautiful among all.” Others expressed their admiration by dropping multiple red heart emojis in the comment section.

Among others who were present at the Sukhee screening event were Pyaar Ka Punchnaama fame Kartik Aaryan and Nushrratt Bharuccha, Pooja Hegde, and Neelam Kothari Soni with husband Sameer Soni. Shilpa Shetty’s sister Shamita Shetty and their mother Sunanda Shetty also marked their presence at the premiere ceremony.

Sukhee revolves around a 38-year-old Punjabi homemaker Sukhpreet Kalra aka Sukhee who after being fed up with her routine and monotonous life decides to take a break from her homely duties and enjoy life on her own terms.
