Bhumi Pednekar recently opened up about working with Anil Kapoor in Thank You For Coming. The movie is living up to its tagline Rise-Rebel-Repeat. The movie has attainted global recognition owing to the phenomenal early international reviews and overwhelming audiences response at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival.
Opening up about her work experience with Anil Kapoor, she shared, “ To begin with I was extremely nervous but he’s one of the kindest, nicest, most motivating, and inspirational people I know. He’s incredible, he knows the impact he makes on people so he makes sure he makes all of us comfortable because we all are in just awe of him, he’s a breeze to work with.”
Thank You For Coming celebrates and empowers womanhood in a fun and entertaining manner, the film gives out a strong and powerful message and also tickles your funny bones at the same time.
The evergreen actor Anil Kapoor will be seen in a special appearance in the film which also stars Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila and Shibani Bedi.

Elated with the overwhelming response Thank You For Coming is receiving, Anil Kapoor too spoke about how it is important to make films which are female-forward. The actor shared, “Bollywood needs to make more movies by and for women that will connect with international audiences. I’ve done a lot of films that were led by women, where I was a supporting actor, and I just liked the stories”.
Directed by Karan Boolani, Thank You For Coming tackles themes of female friendship, single women risking shame and criticism for wanting to remain unmarried and independent, and the pursuit of sex and pleasure by modern-day women.
