It was in October 2022, when BTS announced all seven members would soon fulfill their mandatory military service in hopes of reuniting again in 2023. But that’s not the only service the South Korean supergroup will pay to their country. They’ve already given back in so many ways and the Philanthropic work shows no sign of stopping. Recently, it is the leader of the group RM who hit the headlines for making yet another meaningful donation. According to Koreaboo, the Wild Flower hitmaker gave away 100 million won (Rs 61.34 lakh) to the Korean Society of Legal Medicine. The donation was made on September 27 to support the training of experts in the field of forensics.
It is suggested his interest in the field developed after meeting Professor Lee Ho of Chonbuk National University on TVN’s entertainment show – A Mysterious Dictionary of Human Miscellaneous Knowledge. In an official statement, the BTS leader sympathized with experts in the field and also showed them his respect. “I heard that the process of becoming a forensic scientist is very difficult. I sympathize with the importance of forensic medicine and sincerely respect those who walk the path of forensic medicine with a sense of responsibility,” he said.
While explaining his reason behind the donation, RM added, “I hope to be able to contribute a little to the training and support of forensic scientists and the development of the forensic community.” As soon as the news circulated online, it amassed a thunderous response from ARMY. Fans couldn’t stop themselves from heaping praises on the BTS member. An ARMY said, “He’s so sweet, kind and thoughtful. I’m so proud of him and I love him so much.”
